In September 2025, the city of Keene’s planning board approved Revo Casino’s plan to relocate from its current location on Emerald Street to Key Road Plaza. The casino will be taking over where Toy City currently resides. Formerly known as Wonder Casino, the business’s doors opened in 2021, and the casino was rebranded to Revo Casino and Social House in August 2024.
The plans for a relocation have been in the works since September of 2025, as expansion has been the goal since the rebrand. Keene has adopted new zoning changes and laws in recent years, which prevented the casino from expanding at its current location. Dick Anagnost, partner to the Revo brand, stated that in order to make the renovations and expansions they are hoping to, they needed to relocate.
Anagnost also spoke on the plans regarding operations while the construction is occurring at the new location. The current casino on Emerald Street will remain operational during the construction, which is planned to begin in either late April or early May. Construction will be in place for about six to eight months with hopes that the new location will begin operations in either late 2026 or early 2027. Once construction has concluded, Anagnost stated they only plan to close doors for about a week while they move all equipment from the prior location to Key Road Plaza, and then they will open the new doors once everything is in place.
Regarding Toy City and its operations, owner Steve Levy will be retiring this year. The store must be vacated by the end of March, allowing for construction to begin at the new location. Anagnost stated that there has been no backlash from either party surrounding the move and that support has been received.
Wade West, vice president of marketing for Revo Casino, spoke on the excitement surrounding the move and the potential of Revo’s future. West said moving to the space in Key Road Plaza allows for the casino to elevate what is at its current location. When they reopen, there will be a larger number of slot machines, a new bar, a larger Rebels restaurant and a space for a live music stage. Currently, the casino does not have room for entertainment, as it partners with Benders.
West stated that the relocation will allow the casino to enhance its environment and expand with its guests in mind. He stated, “Overall, the goal is simple: create an entertainment destination that feels alive—where the energy pulls you in and where you can bring your friends or end up making new ones.”
People in the Keene community and frequent guests of Revo Casino have seemingly had a positive reaction to the relocation and upcoming construction. One patron, who wished to remain anonymous and has visited the casino a few times, stated that they were excited to see what the new location has in store for the community. They said they are happy about Keene being introduced to a ‘city-like environment’ and a larger entertainment source nearby.
There have been some negative remarks surrounding Revo Casino taking over where Toy City resides. Toy City has been in operation since 1972 and has been at Key Road Plaza since 2007. A gentleman who wished to remain anonymous and has lived in Keene for the majority of his life labeled the toy store as a ‘Keene landmark’ and said its plan to close will be a major loss for the city of Keene.
West said he remains positive regarding the move and hopes that the relocation will be successful for the casino and the Revo brand overall. He stated, “That’s the Rebel mindset we’re leaning into—an attitude built around connection, momentum and a great night out.”
