For college students, living in a dorm can conjure a bunch of different feelings, some good and some bad. Regardless, it is one part of the college experience that can be exciting. Students at Keene State shared ways that they have made their space feel both comfortable and personal.
For some students, their most comfortable place is their bed. After a long day of classes, homework and activities, having a secure place to relax can make a big difference. First-year Ariah Doyer agreed with this and said her favorite part of her dorm is her bed.
Another student, first-year Sam McKay, said that their favorite part is the dorm building itself.
First-year Fiona Palisano said hers was the view out her window. “I can see the trees from my window. It’s nice,” she said. During this time of year in Keene, the trees are changing colors. Students’ view of the autumn ambience can vary based on what dorm they are in.
First-year Carlos Rivera Ozoa said his favorite part of his dorm is his desk, because that’s where he records his music and does hobbies outside of schoolwork.
