This week’s Athlete of the Week is Alexis Michal of the Keene State College Volleyball team.
The freshman setter has been very productive, leading the squad in assists.
The Windham, N.H. product has generally split the assist numbers this season, but took over the majority of the setting duties this week.
Michal had 23 assists and 11 digs in KSC’s lose to Colby-Sawyer College.
She then followed it up with a 45-assist, ten-dig performance vs. Brandeis University, and a 36-assists, seven-dig performance in the Owls’ win over Westfield State.

The first runner-up this week is Bryce Lawler.
The KSC Men’s Soccer midfielder was critical to the team’s two victories this past week.
First, Lawler came off the bench to score the only Owl goal in their game vs. Rensselaer.
With the added benefit of a PRI own-goal, KSC won the match 2-0.
Lawler came up clutch again assisting Blake Nyman on his goal that gave KSC the 1-0 victory over conference-rival Western Connecticut State University.

The second runner-up this week is Maggie Fitter of the KSC Women’s Cross Country Team.
Fitter finished second at the Little East Alliance Championship, leading the Owls to their 13th straight LEC title.
Fitter finished the eight kilometer course with a time of 18:44.
The title tied KSC with the University of Southern Maine Women’s Outdoor track Team for the most consecutive LEC team championships with 13.
