This week’s athlete of the week is sophomore mid-fielder ElizaWitherbee of the women’s lacrosse team.
Witherbee had big week for the Owls to emerge as the team’s leading point scorer.

The Newburyport, Mass. product had three goals and two assists in KSC’s 11-6 victory over Eastern Connecticut State in the Owls’ conference opener.
She also had three more goals and an additional assist KSC’s 17-5 routing of New England College.
Witherbee’s consistent play and ability to make good passes and put the ball in the net from the midfield position has made her an impact player for the team this year.
Witherbee was also named the LEC women’s lacrosse offensive player of the week for her performances.

The first runner-up is javelin thrower Kristen Huckins.
The sophomore from Westmoreland, N.H. won the javelin for KSC at the George Davis Invitational at UMass.-Lowell.
She threw the javelin 120’11” which is just two feet short of her personal record.
Huckins has continued to be one of KSC’s top throwers this season.

The second runner-up this week is Erik Bergstrom of the baseball team.
The senior right fielder has been a constant presence on the scoreboard for the Owls collecting at least one RBI in every game this week.
He compiled a total of nine RBIs over a four game stretch during the course of the week.
His most impressive performance was a 4-5 performance with three RBIs that helped KSC to a 12-9 victory over Williams College.
