Former Keene State College student, Jeffery L. Samek, 21, of Agawam, Mass died on Thursday, Oct. 20.
According to Samek’s obituary retrieved from masslive.com, Samek passed away at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass. His cause of death was not stated.
A funeral will be held at Ryder Funeral Home, on 33 Lamb, St. in South Hadley, Mass. on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. The burial will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Warren, Mass. Samek stopped attending KSC in the spring of last year. This would have been his senior year. Samek was formerly an English major.
Previously Samek lived in Chicopee, Mass for several years. He attended Williston Northhampton School in Easthampton, Mass, until his graduation in May 2008. While at Williston, Samek took part in cross country, wrestling, and held a theater technician position for productions at the Williston Theater.
Students are encouraged to visit the KSC Counseling Center to speak with someone on the matter. The KSC Counseling Center is located on the third floor of Elliot Hall. Appointments can either be made in person or over the phone at 603-358-2437.
