Amherst College beats Keene State 8-0
Fresh off their first win of the season, Keene State Women’s Soccer suffered an 8-0 loss to the Mammoths of Amherst College.
Nationally ranked No. 4 Amherst hosted the Owls September 19 at Hitchcock Field. Although the first goal of the match wasn’t until 20 minutes in, four minutes later the score was 3-0. That was it for the first half. The Mammoths scored five more goals in the second half bringing the score to 8-0. The Owl’s only shot of the game would be by Sophomore Midfielder Elizabeth Kopicko.
The Owl’s senior goalkeeper Abbie Terrinca made 14 saves over the course of the game.
The Owl’s, now 1-4, will be defending Dr. Ron Butcher Field against the Lancers of Worcester State on Tuesday, September 21.
