This week’s athlete of the week is women’s basketball forward, Courtney Cirillo.

Cirillo continues to lead the Owls in both scoring and rebounding.

The forward put up 29 points and 13 rebounds in KSC’s 77-65 win over UMass-Dartmouth.

In addition she went 17 for 17 from the free throw line.

She put up another 17 points and 17 rebounds in a 70-42 Owl victory over in state rival Plymouth State University.

Cirillo was named both LEC Women’s Player of the Week and NEBWA Player of the Week.

The first runner up this week is Ryan Martin of the men’s basketball team.

Martin set his career high for the Owls with his 34-point performance to help lift KSC over LEC rival UMass.-Dartmouth 70-68.

Martin also put up 12 points, four assists, and three rebounds in KSC’s 71-61 victory over Plymouth State University.

Martin was a constant floor presence playing 37 minutes in both games last week.

He continued his precision shooting from the free throw line, shooting 11 for 11 in the last two games, as he leads the LEC in free throw shooting percentage.

The second runner up this week is freshman women’s individual medley swimmer Diana Pimer.

Pimer won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:26.27 and the 200 individual medley (2:14.83), and was a part of the victorious 200 medley relay team in KSC’s dual-meet vs. Bentley.

Pimer’s victories helped KSC break Bentley’s 18 straight dual meet win-streak.
