Both the Keene State College Men’s and Women’s Swim and Dive teams took a trip to Regis College for the Regis Invitational, which took place on Friday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 7.
The Owls competed in every event over the two days, with a total of 16 first-place finishes on Friday night, as well as another 16 first-place finishes on Saturday morning. Junior Rory Lee won the women’s 1000 yard free with a time of 11:23.25, as well as the 500 yard free (5:33:85), and the 1650 yard free (19:09.19).
Sophomore Tallulah Going won the women’s 50 yard free (26.16). Senior Adessa Noyes won the women’s 100 yard fly (1:04.97), while senior Samantha Taylor won the 50 yard fly (29.09). The women’s team also had winners in the 200 yard medley relay, 50 yard back, 100 yard back, 800 yard free relay, 400 yard medley relay, 200 yard free, 200 yard back, 200 yard breast, 200 yard IM, 200 yard fly, 400 yard free relay and the 200 yard free relay.
The Men’s team was led by senior Aaron Turgeon, sophomore Alec Agosto and junior Evan Keefe. Turgeon won the 100 yard fly (53.71), 100 yard IM (55.00), 200 yard free (1:48.97), and the 200 yard IM (2:04.19). Agosto was victorious in the 1000 yard free (10:51.10), 500 yard free (5:17.47), and the 1650 yard free (18:18.03). Keefe won in the 100 yard back (1:01.32), and the 200 yard back (2:22.37). The men also won the 200 yard medley relay, 50 yard back, 50 yard breast, 800 yard free relay, 400 yard medley relay, 400 yard free relay and the 200 yard free relay.
Following both teams’ performance at the RPI invitational, KSC first-year swimmer Madelynn Keyes was awarded Rookie of the Week for women’s diving across the conference. Keyes is a diver who competes at the 11-dive event. The first-year set a program record at this event with a score of 398.7. This Performance granted Keyes the opportunity to compete at the 2025 NCAA Division III Regional Diving Championships.
On the week of Nov. 25, sophomore swimmer Tallulah Going also earned Rookie of the Week. That same week, first-year Ayla Pullen also won Rookie of the Week, but for the divers in the conference.
The Keene State College Men and Women’s Swim and Dive teams will head to Eastern Connecticut on Jan. 11 to compete in their next swim meet.
