Going into December, the chances for snow are rising as temperatures drop. As Christmas approaches in New Hampshire, the weather forecast shows that a snowy holiday season may be in the cards.
According to Meteorologist Derek Schroeter, who works for the U.S National Weather Service in Grey, Maine, there is a possibility for snow soon.
“The general outlook for the weather right now is cool and dry,” Schroeter said regarding the weather conditions for this week.
Schroeter also said Tuesday the 3rd and going into Wednesday the 4th there is a likelihood of occasional snow showers in the mountains. Light snow will be passing over the Keene State area Wednesday night.
“By Friday the 6th, it will be well below normal temperatures and there will be light chances for snow over the weekend as well,” Schroeter explained.
Keene may get up to three inches of snow in the middle of the week, most likely Wednesday evening or Wednesday night, so Keene State students should look into bundling up and preparing for the cold in the next couple of days.
