Keene State women’s soccer ended their season on Thursday, Nov. 2 as they traveled to Western Connecticut where the Wolves shredded the Owls 7-2. The first goal was scored by Western Connecticut’s Myah Croze at 16:11 minutes. The Wolves dribbled the ball up the center and touched it to the right side of the field where Croze kicked it into the left corner against Keene State’s goalie Sonia Moritz.
Not even ten minutes later, Western Connecticut attacked again, scoring another goal from the Wolves’ Suzana Imetovski.
This intensity continued into the second half of the game, as Western Connecticut proceeded to put up three more goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half. Keene State finally struck back 66 minutes into the game. The goal was scored by Emily O’Connell, and it was her third goal of the season. The ball was kicked from the far right corner into the center and the Wolves tried to get it out, but instead gave O’Connel a perfect pass to shoot it to the left of the goal, out of reach from the goalie.
Western Connecticut pulled the plug on Keene’s redemption, where after another ten minutes, they scored their sixth goal making the score 6-1. The Wolves scored their final goal at minute 86:11 in the game, from Jordan Brieier. Keene State retaliated a minute after with their own goal scored by Joclynn Tyler. O’Connell dribbled up the middle and passed it to the right corner where Tyler shot the ball to the far left corner of the goal. The ball hit the goalpost and rolled in making the final score of the game 7-2 Western Connecticut.
Moritz ended the game with 7 saves, and Western Connecticut’s goalies had 9 saves in total.
