Keene State boasts a lucrative campus full of lush fields, brick buildings and colorful posters and art created by the students one can see walking out and about. With so many corners to spend each day, the question must be posed to those who spend so many of their weeks here: What is your favorite place here on campus? KSC students took time out of their day to provide their thoughts on where they like to hang out best.
“Third floor student center,” sophomore Alexandria Soto shared. “It’s nice to go there to just study and relax or talk with friends. It’s a nice, like, secluded area where you can just be.”
Soto’s tablemate, fellow sophomore Yakelin Gomez, seconded her opinion. “It’s really quiet up there. Not a lot of people know about it.”
“My answer’s really boring, but I like my dorm,” sophomore Lee Bill answered. “I’m in Pondside 1.”
“I would agree. I’m in the same dorm, so,” Bill’s tablemate, sophomore Aeryn Wiggett, seconded.
“Pondside’s good,” Bill continued. “It’s a little pricey, but you get your own bathroom and then suitemates, so it’s pretty cool–especially if you get in with friends.”
Three students shared that their favorite place on campus is Lloyds Marketplace– sophomores Noah Jaffe, Elisabeth Frenette and Oliver Lyons.
“I could also say the Redfern, the Redfern’s nice,” Jaffy shared. “Honestly, maybe the whole Student Center in general, too.”
One sophomore, Samuel Adams, answered differently. “The DC,” Adams said, marking the first student prompted who shared that they fancy The Dining Commons above all else.
Other students also shared that while the campus has a lot, they truly enjoy the comfort of their dorm.
First-years Reagan Evans, Chloe Donohue and Charleigh Bohannon all answered “My room” when asked what their favorite spot was.
First-year Maeve Bugnacki answered differently. “The field, or the turf,” Bodacky shared.
Sophomore Alex Harvey said his favorite place on campus is “the Elliot Center, IT–favorite place in the world. That’s where I work.”
“Probably the E-Sports room in the LLC,” sophomore Gavin Pierce shared.
“The Putnam Theater in the Redfern,” other sophomore Aiden Goodrich responded.
While students’ answers may differ, they find commonality in the way that they are all locations that KSC has to offer students as they enrich both their studies and their personal lives.
