In this game, junior Ellie Hunkins, first-year Grace Taylor, first-year Irini Stefanakos and sophomore Demetria Gonzalez all scored goals. Junior Maggie Cahoon received a green card in this game. Next up, the Owls will be headed to Westfield, Massachusetts on Friday, October 29 to face-off against Westfield State. This will be their last regular season game for the year. The field hockey team fell just short to the University of Southern Maine in a game on Saturday, October 23 in Gorham, Maine. The final score of the game was 2-1 and this loss made the Owls 8-2 in the LEC conference match against the 8-3 Huskies. The two teams were very close when it came to shots on goal, with Keene State taking 13 and Southern Maine taking 14. The Owls and the Huskies were also similar when it came to saves, with KSC making seven and USM making six. The only goal scored for Keene was 55 seconds into the second quarter by Taylor off a loose ball. Southern Maine would go on to score two goals of their own, with the first being scored at the very end of the first quarter and the second being scored in the fourth and final period.
