As the weekend approaches, Keene State students can expect to see cold weather and more snow as we enter February. Thursday is expected to be partly cloudy, while Friday will have a high of 30 degrees Fahrenheit and a low of 4 degrees Fahrenheit, with a possibility of snow storms, according to The Weather Channel.

Saturday is expected to be partly cloudy, with a temperature of 12 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and 4 degrees Fahrenheit at night, with a possibility of snow. Sunday, on the other hand, is expected to be mostly sunny.

Zachary Hargrove, Meteorologist at the National Weather Service, provided some insight into what students can prepare for heading into the weekend weather.

“We got another couple of cold nights coming,” Hargrove said. “We will start to see highs closer to normal in the afternoons.”

Hargove added that residents should expect to start seeing high temperatures around the upper 20s and 30s with a low amount of precipitation.

“Next weekend there will be more of a chance of light snow,” Hargrove said.

According to Weather Underground, there will be light winds during the day on Friday, Feb. 6, with a 50% chance of snow. At nighttime, the wind is expected to pick up to around 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday, Feb. 7, will experience winds of 10 to 20 mph, with partly cloudy skies during the day and night.
