As Owls, both new and old, settle back into campus life, the second weekend back at Keene State is shaping up to be a rainy one.
With Labor Day, the unofficial end of summer, having come and gone, the weather won’t be getting much hotter from here.
On Thursday, students can expect some sunny weather earlier in the day, with a high of around 81 degrees, according to numbers from the National Weather Service’s Keene forecast.
Later into the night on Thursday, however, showers are expected going into the 2 a.m. hour on Friday with a respite around 7 a.m. when the weather is expected to return to a sunny 81 degrees.
On Friday night, there is a lower chance of showers, with a chance of precipitation clocking in at 30 percent as of Tuesday, Sept. 2.
Jumping to Saturday, students can expect potential showers before 2 p.m., with an additional chance of thunderstorms between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Overall, Saturday is expected to be partly sunny, with a 60 percent chance of precipitation earlier in the day, with that number dropping to 50 into the night.
The showers are expected to largely stop come Sunday, with an expected high of 73 and mostly clear skies.
Into Sunday night, there is an expected low of 48 degrees, though clear skies are still anticipated.
Lastly, Monday is expected to have sunny weather earlier in the day, with an expected high near 73 degrees.
