Just a little over a week before Waka Flocka Flame is coming to campus, the Social Activities Council (SAC) has made the general admission tickets for the concert free for all KSC students.

We received a lot of feedback from students that the ticket price was the only thing holding them back from attending, with everything people need to survive being so expensive these days,” senior and SAC President Ashleigh Moroni stated.

Originally, the general admission tickets were priced at $25.

According to a post on the SAC’s Instagram page, it stated that it was thanks to students’ student activity fee that the tickets were allowed to be free.

“The way we had built our budget this year accommodated us being able to cover the cost of the headliner without needing to charge for student tickets, so we made the decision to make the show more accessible to our students and provide them the opportunity to go and have a good time!” Moroni stated.

Barrier tickets can still be purchased for $30, and non-students can purchase a ticket for $50. The concert will still be hosted on April 13 in the Mabel Brown Room, and the line queue will open at 6:45 p.m. with the opener performing at 8 p.m. and the headliner at 9 p.m.
