With spring break around the corner and midterms coming up, students are eager and ready to enjoy a nice break.
Some students expressed that the weeks leading up to spring break often feel long and that the break should come faster so they can relax and have fun. Here’s what some have to say regarding spring break.
“I wish I was doing something exciting but I am going to babysit,” said senior Brooke Bustead.
First-year Matthew Silvestri said, “My parents just got a new house so I am moving in and seeing what it’s like.”
“I can’t wait for a break because I am going to catch up and recover from being burnt out from my classes. I am quite tired, hopefully it doesn’t go by fast so that I am able to enjoy every second of it,” said junior Emily Clark.
“Honestly just hanging out at my house and relaxing, that’s what I plan on doing,” said junior Cayla Saalfield.
“I’m going home and getting a puppy. The kind of puppy I’m getting is an Airedale Terrier,” said junior Olivia Prusak.
First-year Maya Davis said, “I am staying here all week for cheer practice, nothing too exciting, it’s a bit boring. That’s the only thing I am doing but that’s okay with me.”
While speaking with more students on Appian Way, the library and the student center, they had different travel plans in mind instead of staying home.
First-year Katie Harper said, “For my spring break I’m either going to Washington D.C. for the Keene internship program or going home, I am still trying to decide that.”
“I plan to go to Costa Rica with some friends which I had planned for a couple of months now, definitely looking forward to it,” said Will Graff.
First-year Danica Pleau said, “I am having my roommate visit me in Maine and then going to Hooksett, New Hampshire, to watch my brother play in a hockey tournament.”
“For break, I am spending time with my cat and also going to my partner’s lake house in East Otis, Massachusetts,” said senior Spencer Gray.
First-year Lily Waldeck said, “Spring break needs to come faster. I am already tired and want to go home, but the thing I am looking forward to the most is celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day with my family and going hiking and then going to Maine.”
Whether students are staying home and relaxing or travelling somewhere new and fun, most KSC students expressed looking forward to the break.
