The Keene State Lacrosse regular season is just around the corner.
The Owls have a tough schedule but they believe they can hang with the rest of the league.
Coach Mark Theriault recently stated that he has his eyes set on the whole pie. “My goal for the season is to win the LEC championship,” Theriault said.
Theriault said his expectations for the 2024 season was for,“Everyone to work hard and for all of us to enjoy the experience.”
Team Captain Thomas Pouiliot said he is eager to continue leading the team after a brief absence due to a torn ACL.
“It was hard to watch from the sidelines last season,” Pouiliot said. “ That experience lit a fire in me … I want to lead my team as a captain to the LEC championship”
He also stated that he wants to help build the KSC culture and make it feel much like a family this season. He wants to grow his teammates’ legacies and KSC lacrosse’s.
First-year Austin Fitts said he also wants to win the LEC championship.
“You could kind of get away with goofing off in high school practices, but in college they expect you to do the little things and to stay locked in for every waking second during practices.” He doesn’t believe he will play much as a defensive specialist but he’s ready for the ride.
