Keene State Athletics announced volleyball coach Bob Weiner will be retiring after 19 years coaching the Owls. According to the announcement, Weiner said, “Getting to work with so many terrific women for the past 19 years has been one of the great experiences of my life.”
Weiner was hired in spring 2005 and was named the Little East Conference Coach of the Year three times in 2008, 2015 and 2017.
Additionally, The Equinox reported Weiner hit his 600th career-winning game back in Oct. 2022, against Southern Maine.
Weiner coached the Owls to a 376-229 record. He had an overall career record of 617-497 with experience from Franklin Pierce, Macalester, Montana State Northern, Iona, Assumption, Pine Manor and KSC.
“There is no one more responsible for the rise of Keene State College volleyball than Bob Weiner,” KSC Athletic Director Marty Testo said in the announcement. “He came here with a mission to make KSC volleyball one of the best teams in the conference and in the region and has succeeded.”
Keene State Athletics will begin searching for the next coach this spring.
