A Keene State student died due to unknown causes on the evening of Tuesday, Oct. 10, according to an Oct. 11 email sent by KSC President Melinda Treadwell.
Officials responded to a medical call on Appleton St., where the Pondside 2 apartments are located, at 10:09 p.m., according to Southwestern N.H. District Fire Mutual Aid Dispatch Center logs.
Keene Police Department Lt. Benjamin Nugent said that the death appeared to be related to a medical issue, according to an Oct. 11 article from The Keene Sentinel.
Foul play is not suspected at this time, according to Treadwell. The identity of the student has been withheld out of respect for the family’s privacy, Treadwell stated.
The email directs students to mental health resources from The Wellness Center.
“Our thoughts, prayers, and love are with the student’s family and friends,” Treadwell stated.
