As President Donald Trump reaches his 80s, many Americans, including myself, are tired of old white guys running our country.
Trump’s niece, Mary Trump, told New York Magazine that her uncle’s recent behavior has reminded her of her grandfather’s Alzheimer’s.
“Mary Trump, a longtime critic of her uncle, said she saw flashes in him of Fred Trump, her grandfather, who she witnessed struggle with the degenerative disease before his death aged 93 in 1999.”
She continued to say that it seems Trump is not always ‘oriented to time and place.’
“And on occasion, I do see that deer-in-the-headlights look.”
While Trump claims he does not have Alzheimer’s disease, her comments should not go unnoticed as they come from someone who saw firsthand how the disease affected his father.
Photos have also circulated of bruises located on President Trump’s hand, causing many to worry about his physical health. There have also been instances where he has seemingly fallen asleep at public events.
Like Mary Trump, I have also witnessed my grandfather struggle with his health before he passed away. Bruising and dozing off during the day are not uncommon symptoms for elderly folks nearing the end of their life. But Trump is not the least bit concerned as The Times reports, “Trump has said that the bruising is a result of the 325 milligrams of aspirin he takes daily. His doctors do not approve of the dosage, he told New York Magazine.”
“They say aspirin is good for thinning out the blood, and I don’t want thick blood pouring through my heart,” he previously told The Wall Street Journal.
While medical professionals say thin blood typically will not cause symptoms, it can be cause for concern when a small cut can lead to excessive bleeding. However, the bruising on the President’s hands makes it clear that he is experiencing symptoms.
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. discussed Trump’s diet on The Katie Miller Podcast, mentioning how when traveling, “He [Trump] wants to eat food from big corporations because he trusts it and he doesn’t want to get sick when he’s on the road.”
Considering how often the President travels, he is eating a lot of “junk food” according to RFK Jr.
“The interesting thing about the president is that he eats really bad food,” said RFK Jr. “Which is McDonald’s, and, you know, candy and Diet Coke. But he drinks Diet Coke at all times. He has the constitution of a deity. I don’t know how he’s alive, but he is.”
In case you missed it, the Secretary of Health and Human Services just said he doesn’t know how Trump is alive. I would not take health advice from someone who has sniffed cocaine off of a toilet, but RFK Jr. spends a lot of his time with Trump.
The New York Times reports, “President Trump’s erratic behavior and extreme comments in recent days and weeks have turbocharged the crazy-like-a-fox-or-just-plain-crazy debate that has followed him on the national political stage for a decade.”
This is in reference to Trump’s social media post saying ‘a whole civilization will die tonight’ regarding the U.S.-Iran War.
It is no doubt that Trump is either on a mental decline due to old age or he might have the Alzheimer’s gene. It’s time we stop electing people who belong in a nursing home.
