The first official weekend of fall is looking promising, with meteorologists forecasting a high near 78 degrees Friday through Sunday and only a slight chance of passing showers as September winds down.
Michael Clair, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service, said, “The warm air will stick through September, with cooler air moving in by October.”
Showers may kick off the weekend Friday night, with a 30% chance of rain lingering into Saturday morning. Let’s hope our student-athletes stay dry as they compete this weekend.
By Sunday, drier conditions are expected, giving students a dry finish to the weekend.
