As fall starts to come to an end and with winter around the corner, the weather in Keene and New England has started to take a turn.
Derek Schroeter, who works at the U.S National Weather Service in Gray, Maine, provided some insight into the upcoming weather conditions.
“This fall season to date has been one of the driest across New England,” Schroeter explained.
He went on to say there is a likely chance of rain in the upcoming days, most notably on Thursday, the 21st, and into Thursday night. There is a likely chance of rain on Friday the 22nd as well, and there is a possibility of showers on Saturday although there is a notable downward trend the further it goes into the weekend.
The chances for precipitation will continue into next week and Schroeter said that there is even a possibility of snow in the White Mountains.
Areas of low pressure are expected to drift over New England, leading to rain showers and high levels of precipitation.
With the high chances of rain, Keene State students should look into bundling up for the cold and wearing their rain jackets for any possible showers coming this way later in the week.
