Intersectionality on Campus is a series of workshops presented by Dr. Emily Sharpe, Chair and Associate Professor of English and Affiliate Faculty of Women’s and Gender Studies, Holocaust and Genocide Studies, for Keene State College staff.
These workshops will be opportunities for the staff to better the relationship with the students and the overall environment on campus. In these workshops, they will be going over identity development, where they talk about identity stages and how that impacts how we function, thoughts, feelings and behaviors and the interaction between staff and students.
Some of the other workshops will go over things like barriers that may prevent individuals with (dis)abilities from full participation on campus, serving first generation students and how religion or spiritual practice plays in the lives of students.
These workshops are developed in partnership between Human Resources and the Office of Diversity and Multiculturalism.
