The Redfern Arts Center at Keene State College is currently without power.
City of Keene Fire Chief Mark Howard said he was called after someone reported that a transformer had been smoking.
He and the fire department determined that a switchgear for the Redfern had been smoking upon their arrival.
Howard said the fire department worked with Eversource, Hamblet Electric and KSC to determine and isolate the issue.
Power on campus was shut down temporarily, but has been returned to all buildings except for the Redfern.
Eversource said the situation was isolated to only the unit by the Redfern.
