On Jan. 27, Keene State College’s Director of Strategic Communications and Community Relations Kelly Ricaurte confirmed a man’s body was found on the rail trail near the Keene State College athletic field on Jan. 7 over the winter break. The man was 23 years old and not a college student or affiliated with the college. According to Keene Police Department Sergeant Christopher Simonds there is no threat to KSC’s community. “There’s nothing to be alarmed about,” he said. He also said if there had been any threat, college students would have been notified immediately coming back from break.
