Many college students don’t really think far into the future. Why should they? Eight to ten years from now seems too far ahead to think about. However, our actions now can affect our future family because an education can give us numerous opportunities not only for ourselves but also for our future children.
A person’s education can affect their child’s brain development. This seems a bit crazy, but it can happen. A person’s resources through their job such as income can have an effect on a child’s brain development. Income plays a huge role for top day cares and schools for children. Most people think education will increase the likelihood of obtaining a job. However, staying in school helps more than salary. The more education a person has improves their health status and increases life span. This is because when a person increases their education, they have more resources such as a better health insurance for their family/self and a healthier lifestyle. An education determines what kind of lifestyle you will have.
People with higher educations tend to have healthier eating habits and tend to have the resources to keep a healthy body such by working out. The kind of job you will possess, the income and resources can make your lifestyle better for yourself as well as your children’s life. Also, it can increase your opportunities as well as your children’s. It can also increase the lifespan of your children. The higher education a person has the better their working conditions will be. A person with little education may work in more hazardous working conditions which can affect their health. People with more education tend to work in an office rather than a warehouse, where they may be exposed to chemicals and machinery that could potentially hurt them.
Obtaining an education can also help your dreams come true. If you dream of owning your favorite sports car or living in a mansion, working hard to increase your education can make this dream come true. The more education a person possesses the happier the person will be; education can make someone’s life stable and balanced. I believe education basically ensures a better future.
As your education increases, so will your income. A person can obtain a better paying job when they have a higher education. The more education you have the more confident you will feel in the end. Knowledge is power after all. An education can also increase physical and social development. Education will help you to express your opinions and views much more easier.
When a person is exposed to new material they are more likely to express their opinions and views socially. Skills are acquired through learning; it can shape a person into who they are or who they want to be.
Maturity is also increased the more someone is exposed to education. Each year I was exposed to new material I found myself becoming more mature. My vocabulary and interest for things has been drastically expanded through my education here at Keene State College. In the end, students should stay in school to better their lives and dreams. It is a long journey that many who wish to pursue who cannot. So, instead take advantage of this education opportunity and stay in school!
