With a clutch performance in the Keene State College Men’s Lacrosse team’s season opener, this week’s Athlete of the Week is Taylor Jette.
The senior led the Owls to an 11-9 victory over Rensselaer at home, to kick off their season on a positive note.
Jette had two goals and assisted two others in the game.
His presence was crucial in the waning minutes of the game assisting Taylor Wicke’s goal with 8:15 remaining, tying the game at 9-9. He then scored the team’s go-ahead goal with 4:35 left on the game clock.

The first runner-up this week is Cody Dube of the KSC Baseball team. The freshman pitcher made his first start for KSC in their game against Western New England College.
Dube came into the game in the eighth inning, and pitched six shutout innings to help the Owls eventually pull out the 6-5 victory in the 13th inning.
Of the 21 batters Dube faced, he only allowed one hit and one walk in his début.

The second runner-up this week is Nicole Curry of the women’s lacrosse team.
The senior captain had one goal and two assists in KSC’s 11-6 defeat in their season opener aagaisnt Springfield College.
