Keene State College senior and starting point guard for the KSC men’s basketball team, Ryan Martin is congratulated by teammates after scoring his 1,000th point in a game against UMass-Boston on Dec. 8, 2012 in the Spaulding Gymnasium. Martin, a transfer from the University of Maine, scored 1,000 points in just three seasons at KSC. According to KeeneOwls.com, Martin is the 28th player in the program to achieve the 1,000 point milestone. But Martin is only the fifth men’s basketball player to complete the task in just three years. According to LittleEast.com, Ryan Martin currently leads the league in points per game with 16.8. Martin is also second in the Little East Conference for minutes per game with 35.6. In his 1,000th point game, Martin scored 19 points. Martin also had two assists, two steals and two rebounds. He received a standing ovation from the crowd when Head Coach Robert Colbert took him out of the game.
