This week’s athlete of the week is right fielder for the Keene State College baseball team, Erik Bergstrom.

The senior outfielder batted .636 this week, compiling 11 RBIs, and five runs with seven hits.

Bergstrom helped the Owls to two victories in KSC’s double-header against Little East Conference rival Western Connecticut State 13-7 and 13-0.

The Enfield, Conn. product was a big part of KSC’s 16-8 victory over Salve Regina, knocking in five of his RBIs in that game alone.

Bergstrom has been a big hitter for KSC, hitting in the clean-up spot of the Owls batting line-up throughout the year.

Once again, this week’s first runner-up is junior Glenn Guilmette

The track and field athlete from Kensington, N.H. claimed first place in the javelin at the Tufts University Invitational this past weekend.

Guilmette’s 57.85 meters, while short of his personal record he threw the week before, is good enough to qualify him for the New England Open Championships.

In addition, he earned LEC track athlete of the week honors for the second consecutive weekend.

The second runner-up this week is senior Haley Chandler of the KSC softball team.

Chandler plays first base and is the leadoff hitter in the Owls batting line-up.

The Wakefield, Mass. product had four hits on six at bats in two games this week.

She accumulated five RBIs and reached home herself six times to score for KSC.

Chandler helped the Owls to two back-to-back wins in the double-header against Fitchburg State, 18-0 and 8-0.

She batted in half of KSC’s runs in their 8-0 victory over
