Driver faces nine separate charges after fleeing from a Main Street bar

Early Sunday morning, a maroon Honda CR-V crashed into the trestle located behind Carle Hall.
The man behind the wheel is now facing several charges.

The Keene Sentinel is reporting Robert O’Brien was arraigned in Keene’s Eighth Circuit Court District Division on charges of disobeying an officer, resisting arrest, conduct after an accident, driving after suspension, possession of drugs in a motor vehicle, aggravated driving while intoxicated, unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminal trespass.
The Keene State College Campus Safety Log showed “Keene PD attempting to locate individual who ditched his car by the bridge,” at 12:39 a.m. on Sunday.
The Sentinel reported the incident stemming from a Main Street bar late Saturday night.
Keene Police Sgt. Jason R. Short said the victim may have lost their keys at the bar and O’Brien found them.
The owner of the CR-V, Jonathan P. Westland later reported the car missing and Keene Police located the vehicle and attempted to stop the driver inside.
O’Brein allegedly turned onto Butler Court and proceeded to drive up onto the trestle where he attempted to drive the CR-V down the bike path and into Riverside Plaza.
The Sentinel reported O’Brien being held on $25,000 bail.
