The athlete of the week is the Keene State College women’s basketball team’s Courtney Cirillo.
As she did all season, Cirillo led the Owls in the final games of her college career as the team made a run in the ECAC tournament.
The senior captain had a big double-double in the semifinals against Colby-Sawyer College.

Cirillo had game highs in every stat with 14 points, 13 rebounds, five steals and four assists.
KSC won the game 56-48.
Despite coming up short 65-57 versus Smith College in the tournament finals, Cirillo put on a show in her last game as an Owl.
The forward had a game-high 18 points to cap off her KSC career.
In addition, she nearly had a triple double in the game with game-high eight rebounds and eight assists.

The first runner-up this week is senior attacker Matt Crimmins of the KSC men’s lacrosse team.
Crimmins was an important part of the comeback KSC attempted in their 10-9 loss versus Rensselaer College.
Crimmins scored two goals on four shots in the game
KSC was down 10-6 going into the forth quarter of the game.
The Owls controlled the quarter, scoring three unanswered goals, falling just short of evening the score.
Crimmins had both his goals in the fourth quarter.
The senior scored his first on an unassisted goal with less than eight minutes let in the game, making the score 10-8. He then put in his second goal off as Matt Schairer assisted with five minutes to go.

The second runner-up is Tyler Estevez for his performances in the opening games of the baseball season.
The freshman right fielder had some big hits in both of the Owl’s wins during the past week.
Getting his first start as an Owl, Estevez went two for four at bat in KSC’s 6-2 victory over MIT.
Estevez batted two runs in and touched home once himself to help KSC claim the win.
He followed it up with a three for four, one RBI performance vs. St. Joseph’s.
