This week’s athlete of the week is senior diver, Derek Peabody of the Keene State College men’s swimming and diving team.
In the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) Championships, Peabody set a school record, and finished third in the one-meter diving event.

Peabody set the all-time Keene State College record for 11 dives with a total of 395.90 points.
Peabody broke Zach Hastings’ 2004 record of 366.90 pointsi the one-meter dive.
The first honorable mention this week is Ryan Martin, the junior guard of the KSC men’s basketball team.
Martin put up back-to-back 28-point games to lead the Owls this past week.
The junior posted 28 points, five rebounds and four assists in KSC’s 86-71 win over instate-rival Plymouth State University.
Martin was KSC’s leading scorer, despite fouling out, of the Owl’s 108-105 overtime loss to Western Connecticut State
The second honorable mention this week is junior Maggie Fitter, a distance runner for the women’s track and field team.
The Branford, Conn. product led the way for the Owls with multiple victories at the Little East Conference/Alliance Championships, at the University of Southern Maine.
Fitter won the 600-meter run with a time of 1:36.70.
Fitter also placed first in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 3:03.35, just ahead of teammate Sarah Titus.
