The field hockey team headed to Westfield State on Friday, October 29 for one of their final games of the season. The Owls took this game 4-1 with goals being scored by first-year Hannah Wood, first-year Irini Stefanakos, assisted by first-year Grace Taylor who scored her 15th and 16th goals in this game, and junior Ellie Hunkins, assisted by junior Lauren Hausser, her third goal this season. Earlier this week, the team hosted Castleton University on Senior Night. The first goal of the game was put on the board by junior Hailey Patridge about five minutes into the first period. The second period was strong for Keene as they scored three more goals, two of those within the same minute of each other. Cahoon and Hunkins would take credit for those goals. 30 seconds before halftime, Stefanakos gave the team their fourth goal of the game, giving the Owls a 4-1 lead. The third period would allow for three more KSC goals. The goals for Keene were scored by Hunkins, firstyear Kirsten Dinsmore, and Taylor. The final period would bring in two more Keene goals. These goals were scored by Patridge and first-year Kaylin Voudren. Those two goals would be the last two scored by Keene, finishing the game with a score of 9-2.
