The Keene State art and design departments have begun accepting submissions for President Treadwell’s Holiday Card Challenge.

According to an email statement from Stewardship and Cultivation Manager Jessica Bigaj, “In response to the college moving to remote learning this past spring, the college introduced a new Virtual KSC Innovation Grant opportunity to help fund initiatives to create innovative new virtual Keene State programs. Students developed ideas and submitted proposals to make their ideas come to life.”

The president is looking for photos, paintings, sculptures or other original artwork by KSC students that expresses what joy around the holiday season looks and feels like to them, according to the email sent by President Treadwell on Monday.

The email further says that the image of the work could be of any medium, should be five inches by seven inches, be horizontally oriented and should be uploaded to dept.keene.edu/artchallenge/.

Student’s art can be submitted until October 22, 2020, and the winning artwork will be featured in President Melinda Treadwell’s annual holiday greeting to students, faculty, staff and alumni.

The winner will be selected by the president’s office and will be notified by November 30, 2020.
